Baku Engineering University (BEU) has hosted an informative event on AIESEC's Global Teacher and Global Talent internship programs.
The event provided detailed information on the history of the organization, its development and registration procedures for membership in the organization. It was noted that the AIESEC, an international youth organization operating in more than 126 countries, aimed to identify the leadership potential of young people and contribute to their development. Moreover, the organization, which has contributed to the personal development of more than 1 million young people since its establishment, provides young people with the opportunity to gain international experience through various programs.
It was noted that Global Teacher was an international program that aimed to provide students and young graduates with internships in non-governmental organizations, educational institutions and international schools abroad, and Global Talent was an international program that aimed to provide university students and graduates with professional experience abroad in accordance with the fields in which they wanted to specialize.
Then Gular Huseynzadeh, a graduate of BEU Education Faculty, majoring in Mathematics and Informatics, shared her AIESEC experience with students. She participated in the 2019 AIESEC’s Global Volunteer Internship Program in Slovakia. G.Huseynzadeh stressed that by joining the internship program, she had the opportunity to participate in various social projects, develop her language skills, as well as make international friends and get acquainted with the cultures of other countries.
The event continued with answering students' questions.
It should be noted that AIESEC has been operating in Azerbaijan since 2006. At present, AIESEC Azerbaijan has more than 200 active members in our country.
