Baku Engineering University (BEU) has hosted a meeting with professor Rui Vinhas da Silva, member of Executive Board of Iscte Executive Education.
The meeting aimed to consider areas of cooperation with BEU.
Narmin Alakbarova, Chief Specialist of International Relations and Project Management Department of BEU, delivered a speech about the activities of the University. She gave detailed information about the faculties and departments of BEU, published scientific journals, Technopark, scientific research laboratories, dormitories, and student clubs. Noting that foreign students from different countries studied at BEU, N. Alakbarova spoke about BEU international relations, BEU-INHA Dual Degree Program as well as about programs implemented as part of the various international projects.
Later, Rui Vinhas da Silva provided information about the University he represented. It was emphasized that the Iscte - University Institute of Lisbon was founded as one of Portugal’s first modern universities, with the central aim of studying labour and social dynamics in a rapidly changing world. The Professor added that the University was actively engaged in collaborative projects, including a range of educational, training and research programs. Furthermore, he shared the necessary information about the University’s various programs with the meeting participants.
Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrartive Sciences of BEU, Associate Professor Mayis Azizov expressed his satisfaction with seeing the guest at the University and made various proposals for cooperation with the University Institute of Lisbon.
At the meeting, the Head of the World Economy Department, Associate Professor Shahriyar Mukhtarov, the Head of the Department of Business Administration, Associate Professor Nasimi Kamalov and the lecturer of the Finance Department Ulvi Yagubov expressed their views on future cooperation.
During the discussions, the sides exchanged views on the implementation of dual degree programs and other projects, the exchange of professors and students, as well as on conducting research and organizing joint scientific conferences.
