BEU staff members Vice-rector of International Relations, Assoc.Prof. Manafeddin Namazov and Head of International Relations & Project Management Department, Arif Najimov participated in the online meeting within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA2 project “Establishment of the Innovative Training Center in Azerbaijan supporting the 3rd level higher education course on environmental emergencies (ITACA)", funded by the European Union and implemented by the Sapienza University of Rome, Italy.
The Sapienza University's staff member and head of the current project, Prof. Luca Di Palma introduced the agenda to the participants.
The tasks and responbilities for the implementation period, work to be done by each partner in the current year, purchase of the Innovative Training and its equipment, the issues of preparation and registration of the "Partnership Agreement" to be signed between the project manager and the partners, as well as the work to be done within the project after the "COVID-19" pandemic were discussed in detail.
The meeting was attended by the University of Aalborg, Denmark, the University of Granada, Spain, the University of Patras, Greece, ARGUS Umweltbiotechnology GmbH. In addition, the meeting was attended by the head of the EU Erasmus + Baku office Parviz Bagirov and his colleague Zafar Hasanov, staff members of other universities in Azerbaijan (BSU, AzUAC and BHOS), Sukanal Research and Design Institute, as well as Azecolab.
The current project provides modern technological equipment in cooperation with the European Union and local organizations, as well as oil and gas companies to contribute to the strengthening of relations between the university and industry through the establishment of the Innovative Training Center, which supports the 3rd stage of higher education on environmental emergencies in Azerbaijan.
