Hamzagha Orujov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Baku Engineering University (BEU), Bayram Huseynzada, Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, and Vugar Hasanov, Vice-Rector for General Affairs, have attended a seminar entitled “The role of rectors' conference in the development of higher education system” within the framework of Erasmus+ project “Establishment of Rectors’ Conference in Azerbaijan” (ECAR).
The seminar, dedicated to the study of European experience for the establishment of the Rectors' Conference and the development of higher education, is hosted by KTH Royal Institute of Technology, one of the most prestigious universities in Sweden.
The event to take place on May 16-20 was attended by Adviser to the Minister of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Nijat Mammadli and officials of 15 universities of our country.
The participation of the authorized representatives of the Conference of Rectors of Sweden, Lithuania, Finland and Poland, the Rectors of KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm University and Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences is envisaged in the event organized as part of the project coordinated by Baku Business University and funded by the European Commission.
In the next days of the seminar, Monica Steinel, Deputy Secretary General of the European University Association, will deliver a presentation on "Universities without walls - a vision for 2030."
