Baku Engineering University (BEU) Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs professor Hamzagha Orujov and Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs Bayram Huseynzada are participating in the visit to the "EFMD Global" institution in Belgium within the Erasmus+ project called "Establishment of Rectors' Conference in Azerbaijan" (ECAR).
The event, covering the dates of December 12-17, aims to strengthen the potential in the internationalization of higher education. During the above-mentioned period, EFMD Global and other European partners will hold seminars and presentations on very important topics such as quality assurance and internationalization, internationalization of research and teaching, as well as development of internationalization strategies, international projects, German Academic Exchange Service.
Within the framework of the visit, a business meeting of the delegation was held at the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) of the European Commission. At the event, extensive information was provided about the Erasmus projects financed by the European Commission.
About 50 delegations (rectors, vice-rectors and other responsible persons) from 17 higher educational institutions of Azerbaijan, which are members of the project consortium, the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the Royal Institute of Technology of Sweden, Alicante University of Spain, Spanish Rectors ' Conference, European Association for International Education, Directorate-General for Research and Innovation, representatives of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) are on a visit.
Of note, the Erasmus+ project "Establishment of the Rectors' Conference in Azerbaijan" is implemented under the coordination of Baku Business University and with the financial support of the European Commission.
