In accordance with the agreement reached between the Baku Engineering University (BEU) and Inha University of South Korea, the implementation of the dual degree program will begin from the new academic year. Thus, BEU plans to implement a dual degree program in Information Technology, Electronics Engineering (Telecommunication Engineering, Process Automation, Computer Engineering), Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering. An admission plan for 100 people for these specialties has been approved. Students who score more than 400 points in the entrance exams held by the State Examination Center (SEC) will take an internal exam in mathematics, physics and English, organized by Inha University and BEU teachers.
It should be noted that a memorandum of understanding was signed between BEU and Inha University earlier this year. Among other issues, the document pays special attention to the establishment of dual degree programs.
The faculty that teaches the dual degree program with Inha University at BEU are graduates of prestigious US universities. Although the language of instruction is English, students will also study Korean.
For this purpose, it is planned to establish a Korean Language Center at BEU. Education will be based on the 3 + 1 format. Students will study at BEU for 3 years and in Korea for 1 year. At the same time, it is planned to conduct students' internships in leading Korean companies. Tuition fees for students enrolled in the program will be paid by the state.
Another noteworthy point in the agreement is related to master's education. Not only students graduating from these specialties, but also those who want to study in the same profile specialties will have the opportunity to study for a master's degree at Inha University. In addition, students will be able to benefit from educational grants from the Republic of Korea.
Another important point was the agreement to open the Samsung Electronics Engineering Academy in order to develop engineering creativity and innovative approach in students.
The curricula of the specialties are designed in accordance with the American credit system, which is highly valued by international experts and meets modern requirements.
In particular, it should be noted that BMU has two dormitories that meet modern requirements, and students who will study under the program will be provided with dormitories.
